A private notebook for your body and moods
Some days make no sense. Over time, your notes do.
Note pain, fatigue, sleep, mood and anything else that matters, in a few taps. Over months, see what tends to go with your harder and easier days.
Free, in English and French. The demo needs no account.

Quick check-in
SampleWhen your body is hard to read
Monday, you felt almost like yourself.
Tuesday, you could barely get up, and nothing seemed different.
By Friday, the days had blurred together.
Memory loses the details. A few notes a day keep them.
Where it started
First made for people living with fibromyalgia
Sheanote was designed around their days: it asks little on a hard day and needs no diagnosis.
So it suits anyone trying to understand their pain, energy and moods.
Small notes, a long view
Note how you feel
Rate pain and discomfort, fatigue, sleep, stress and mood in words; body areas 1 to 10, if you like. Add meals, things tried or your own words. On a rough day, one tap is enough.
Look back over weeks and months
A calendar, a search of your own words, and graphs over weeks or months. A day without notes stays blank.
Pain
SamplePatterns
What tends to go together, in your own records
After about two weeks of rated days, Patterns counts and compares days to see what goes with your pain, fatigue or mood, checks whether each difference holds up and shows how many days it's based on.
Worth a closer look
SampleMore pain after a poor or fair night's sleep
In your records, 27 of 33 days after a poor or fair night's sleep had moderate or worse pain, compared with 10 of 36 days otherwise.
Holds up.
- Your choice
- Off until you turn it on, seen only by you, and you can turn it off at any time.
- What it isn't
- Not a diagnosis, not medical advice, and not proof that one thing causes another. Bring what you find to your clinician, and don't change a medication because of it.
See how the things you tried went, over months
Note what you tried, like a warm bath, and how it went. Gradually, your ratings add up, so you can see what you'd like to keep doing. Sheanote counts them and never says what works.
How the things you tried went
SampleIn the last 90 days, you rated how “Warm bath before bed” went 12 times in your records: “Helped a little” 12 times.
These are your own ratings at the time; nothing here compares days you did something with days you didn't.
Let someone in, only as far as you choose
Invite a partner, a friend or family, and choose what each person sees, one kind of record at a time. Stop sharing whenever you like.
Ask for help with dinner or errands without sharing a single check-in.
Supporting someone? You'll see only what they share with you.

Only the cookies the app needs, none for tracking.
Sheanote uses only what it needs to work: a cookie that keeps you signed in, a short-lived cookie while you continue with Google, a cookie that tells this site to open the app instead of the home page (it holds no identifier), and storage on your device for your language and for input not saved yet. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Stored in Montreal, Canada.
Your account, records and photos are stored in Google Cloud's Montreal region, with their backups. Our mailboxes are in Microsoft's data centres in Canada.
Some information can travel outside Quebec: the encrypted connection between your device and the app may pass through the part of Google's network closest to you; the emails we send reach your own email provider, wherever it is; and Continue with Google involves Google's servers. Our privacy impact assessment covers these transfers.
Download a copy of your records, photos aside, or delete your account.
Know what we hold about you and get a copy in a structured, commonly used format: Settings → Your data → Download my data. The copy lists your photos, without the images themselves.
Delete your account and everything in it: Settings → Your data → Delete my account.
