Is Sheanote free?
Yes. Sheanote is free, and it shows no ads.
Is my information private?
Your records are stored in Montreal, Canada. Only you see them, apart from what you choose to share, and nobody at Sheanote looks at them except to answer a request from you or to protect the service. We never sell your information.
Can my partner see my records?
Only if you connect with them (you invite them, or accept their invitation) and choose what they see, one category at a time. Nothing is shared by default, and you can stop sharing at any time.
Does Sheanote use AI?
No. Sheanote has no AI features, and nothing you record goes to an AI service. Patterns, which you can turn on, counts and compares days in your own records.
Is Sheanote medical advice?
No. Sheanote is not a medical device, and it gives no medical advice or diagnosis. Patterns shows what tends to go together in your own records, not what leads to what. Talk to your healthcare team about your health.
Can I get a copy of my records, or delete them?
Yes, at any time, in Settings → Your data: download a copy of your records (your photos are listed, without the images), or delete your account and everything in it (what you added to someone else's records stays in theirs).
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Sheanote works in your phone's browser, and on a tablet or a computer too. Add it to your home screen to open it like an app.
Does it work without a connection?
Sheanote needs a connection to start. If the connection drops while you're filling in a check-in or a note, what you've entered there is kept on your device and saved once you're back online.
Why isn't Sheanote in the App Store or Google Play?
Sheanote is a web app: it runs in your browser, so there's nothing to install from a store.
What is the demo?
A look around without an account: about three months of fictional records noted by Sam, and what Sam shares with Riley, Sam's partner. The demo is deleted after about a day.
Is Sheanote available in French?
Yes. All of Sheanote is in English and in French. Choose your language at the top of the sign-in screens, or in Settings.
What does Continue with Google share?
To sign you in, Google tells Sheanote your Google account's ID, its email address and whether Google has confirmed it, and Google then knows that you use Sheanote. Sheanote keeps no Google token and never sends Google what you record. An email address and a password work too.
